The splendid setting of the Cheval Blanc Paris hosted the closing gala organized for the Special Olympics Unified Football World Cup Paris 2026!
A moment where the values of sport and inclusion were once again united, thanks to the presence of prominent figures from the worlds of solidarity, politics, and fashion, including Mary Davis, former CEO of Special Olympics and “Global Athletes” of Special Olympics France.
The event was introduced by Natalia Vodianova, member of the Special Olympics Board and wife of Antoine Arnault, Director of Communications for the LVMH Group, who also attended the evening.
Also in attendance were Kerry Kennedy, Bob’s daughter and president of the Robert Kennedy Human Rights Foundation, as well as Tim Shriver, chairman of Special Olympics, a movement that represents the continuation of the Kennedy family’s legacy and moral commitment to supporting the rights of people with intellectual disabilities through sports participation and inclusion. Also in attendance was David Evangelista, the new CEO of Special Olympics International.
Representing the Di Pietro Foundation were President Giovanni Di Pietro, present with his wife Manuela Ronzoni, and the full board composed of Shawn Ferguson, member of the Foundation’s General Council, along with Vice Presidents Federica Di Pietro and Marco Varaldo Di Pietro, who gave a speech emphasizing the Foundation’s commitment to promoting a culture of solidarity and the values associated with sport, both nationally and internationally.
